Like dudes I have to do a project on women and politics between 1830-60.
Does anyone have a SIMPLE list of laws regarding women at that time? Nothing too detailed it’s only a drama project based on the Brontes. Anyone?
Mine is five pages and counting, that’s just females.
I have an FC addiction…
brb going mobile.
That’s a good point! The main problem, I think, about overused personalities as well as pairings, is the lack of depth and originality. But if you’re able to change it up a little, then there’s really nothing wrong with that.
Exactly! My Arthur FC has anger issues and an east end of London accent which isn’t anything like Rory at all. Her Karen FC is shy and doesn’t talk much, spend most of her time sitting alone.
Really it shouldn’t be the FC that DEFINES the character, it just ENHANCES t and this is what people seem to forget. If you want to play the exact character from a show then fair enough but just because an actor/actress happens to play that type of character doesn’t meant that you ONLY have to play them that way.

What do you guys think about overused pairings?
By an overused pairing, I mean choosing two actors who play friends in a TV show to play friends in a roleplay group, or choosing two people who dated in real life to be a couple in a roleplay group. An example of this would be having Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale play as best friends. I’ve often seen roleplay helpers complaining about “overused personalities”, but nobody has ever really mentions overused pairings, which, in my opinion, is just as common. I have my own opinion about them, but I was wondering what the rest of the RPC/H/A community thinks.
I personally don’t have an issue with overused personalities as long as the are portrayed well as their own, in depth character. I feel the same about pairings, I play an Arthur Darvill FC who *surprise surprise* is shipped with a Karen Gillan FC. BUT we play these two COMPLETELY different to Amy/Rory, we just make use of the gifs they happen to have together because it suits us and the FC’s suit the characters we play (Tod and Copper from the Fox and the Hound). Each to their own I guess, but that’s just my opinion.
I am having too much fun with my FC posts.
